Thor (Movie) Review

Hey guys!

Yesterday I went to watch a movie with Shin but the coupon we printed out for buy 1 get 1 free tickets didn't apply to Thor so we just paid for it and frankly, it was worth it haha.

Story is of Thor, being an impatient, arrogant warrior and seeking vengeance while defying his father's orders, getting banished to Earth. His powers were stripped off him and a seal put on Mjollnir, Thor's hammer, to only give the powers to the one that is worthy. Thor was to become the king of Asgard, but due to his outcast and his father's falling to illness, his brother Loki takes over.

The movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins. Hemsworth is just delicious in the movie, I'm not gonna lie :P The acting was pretty good giving it a very Norse "accent" in the voices and tones I guess. I'm a sucker for Norse mythology so this is somehow just my kind of story. Music accompaniment was pretty good as well.

The best parts of the movie involved action and a bit of comedy. The visual effects were awesome and there weren't much if any "dry" parts of the movie. Every scene has a purpose to it so it doesn't feel draggy.

All in all, if you're a fan of Thor, it is a must watch without saying, but even if you're not, I'd recommend this movie to all! It's pretty good and I thoroughly enjoyed it and it's been a while since a movie gave me the same feeling, the last was James Cameron's Avatar.

This is a 5/5 in my book, go and have a look!

And by the by, do stay till after the credits for an extra scene :P It may not be much but it is something nice haha

  4. Hahaha yeah there are many questions which they left hanging, that's the biggest complaint people gave :P I on the other hand, am very easily impressed with lightning and wind LOL

But the extra goodie after the credits is more like a cliffhanger wtf!

  5. LOL yea, those goodies would've probably made more sense if I read the comics haha, but unlike Iron Man 2, it doesn't really indicate which next marvel movie it's previewing...

  7. seen photos of Red Skull holding the mysterious item already - so set up is for Captain America.
If you're not a comics fan than telling you it's a Cosmic Cube... just sounds goofy!
