Belgium Trip 2011 - Mini Europe

Hey guys!

During Day 1 in Brussels, Belgium, we went to a park area type place called Mini Europe. It features, as you will assume from the name, miniature sized monuments and cities from around Europe. The place was pretty nice and it was a sunny day so I would recommend it if you went to Brussels to visit the place.

I don't really remember where the places are other than the blatantly obvious so won't really caption all the pics :P There's a "podium" type thing with the country's flag and a button to press that plays the national anthem near the miniature place. I found that pretty cool :D
Remember the Grand-Place? This is the miniature version ahah
Notice the flower patch thing in the middle, that's what I was talking about in the previous post.
Shin likes windmills :P There was a big valve thingie which when you turn it, the windmills actually turn, it was pretty nice. A friend went ahead and sort of broke it (or maybe it was a freak accident, we'll never know) and there was a water jet shooting out of a pipe nearby lololol It was pretty amusing seeing him run away from the scene of the crime. It was fixed pretty quickly so I guess this thing happens a lot.
After 4 years in the UK and almost one of it in London, this was the first proper picture I took of Big Ben LOL
The train is actually powered and you can see several move around the place aha
Annnnnnnnnd we went to Paris!... Not; Eiffel tower was still huge even though it's a "miniature"
An airport I think, the one in the background is simulating takeoff haha.
 Giant magpie terrorising some place!
Forgot where this rock place is... But it was pretty interesting to look at lol.
And the rocket, we actually waited a while for it to take off, it didn't and we went on and when we looked back from a hill, it took off with smoke and stuff. Lol I wasn't that disappointed but I felt sorry for my friends who REALLY wanted to see it take off.

That's it for Mini Europe! Next will be Day 2!

Take care guys!

  1. is the area free roam? :O
or is there a path for you to walk on?

...in Belgium, the magpies are the size of a full grown horse xD

  2. There is a path, but there's no real "Do not enter" sign to the exhibits :3c

We just assumed we're not allowed to go in and bother the stuff haha. Plus most of them are surrounded by bushes, rocks or barriers :P
