Tinseltown Quick Review

Hey guys!

This one's been sitting in my folder quite a while so I thought I might as well do a quick post. It was waaaaaaaaaay back on the day we went to see the Chinese New Year thing at Trafalgar Square. But before that Shin, my sis and I went to Queensway to have lunch at Tinseltown.

I've been hearing my sis give good comments about it and that was a good day to try it. First of all, the photo decor here is solely based on big names like Will Smith and other stars. Secondly their milkshake is supposedly awesome.

Here's what I had, don't remember the name but it was expensive! It had Smarties and chocolate and is very chocolatey. One complaint though, they used ice cream to make it but it wasn't COLD.
Here's what Shin and my sis had. Forgot the names too but I think the one on the left is the Oreo one.
Buffalo wings. It's so-so, just what you'd expect I guess. Nothing special.
2 orders of peri-peri lamb! Well they call it piri-piri but what the heck, potayto, potahto. The lamb were pretty good, I enjoyed them but there were some undercooked ones which is strange considering they should cook ALL at once and their sizes are relatively the same.

Overall the experience was pretty meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh. In the end we had to ask 3 times at least for just some water and they brought it in a jug. How effing lazy and retarded is that!?

Tinseltown gets one lamb buttcrack out of 5.

Brunei's 27th National Day!

Hey all!

Today, the 23rd February 2011 marks the 27th National Day for Brunei! Hope you all back home could enjoy more or less the festivities and parade haha.

I even gotten around to pull out my flag and fly it on my room lol. I didn't put it up initially cos they have this no-stuff-on-the-walls rule here. But screw it! I'll put it up at least for today!
Patriotic much? Anyway I am indeed proud to be Bruneian :P
Salute!

Edit: Oh and my previous uni, Kent, sent me an e-mail with this photo.
God dammit they know how to make me miss them more and more :( </end of edit>

On a side note, I am hungry TT____TT

Fox's Toys - Private Time

Hey guys!

Yeah you can tell I'm bored. I'm thinking of making a series of photos like these or 4komas (or 4-panel comics) if I can think of stuff that might be relatively interesting lollll.

Anyways thanks for reading.
Have fun!

New Toy - Star Wars the Clone Wars - Captain Rex and Destroyer Droid

Hey ya guys!

I was feeling not so hot yesterday so couldn't think of anything to post about. And today, another toy came in the mail! It's the Captain Rex figure from the Clone Wars animated series and personally, the show's pretty good!
I got this Destroyer droid a while ago. It's ok, nothing special, I got caught by the fact that you can fold it into it's mobile form which is practically a ball.
But sadly this is hardly a ball, if the legs were able to turn upside down it would be a ball and more satisfying but alas, it's not... It springs into action at a touch of a button though haha.
It comes with 2 projectiles which it can fire but frankly, without a force field piece or ability to turn into a ball makes me sadface but it's not bad, I do like his shiny brown outsides :D
This is the fella that came in the mail! Captain Rex! My fav character in the series. Why? Because he's painted blue! Well ok that's not the main reason but one of it. He's a pretty bad-ass character and I love his armor design.
He comes with 2 hand blasters which you can put in his holster, one rifle, one rocket attachment with 2 kinds of projectile. Oh and a removable helmet!
He's the 2008 make, and luckily I could get him off eBay cheap! (I did have to ask on a certain BBS which Rex was the best)
He's the "dirty" version with carbon markings all over his armor. :D Oh and his unimpressed face lol.
YEAH! Bad-ass dual wield! This is one other reason I like this character haha.
The rifle's pretty cool too. All the guns can fit nicely into his right trigger hand, but dual wielding is awkward because of his left but is not that noticeable.
 Rocket launcher attachment!
You can attach the spear projectile onto the rocket launcher and do a grappling hook launcher :D which allows fooooooooor...
This. lols. I guess you can tell I'm having fun with the Rex figure, it's definitely worth my money!

Rex's articulation is awesome too! The only complaint I have is his hips are swivel instead of ball jointed. The rest of him is ball jointed so why not the hips!? It makes it awkward if not impossible to pose him on one knee in an action pose. But overall he's great ha! Not much problem with posing him standing too, he's surprisingly stable.

Sad thing is, now I am trying to keep myself from buying more toys as I already got quite a few in my small room now which includes Revoltech WoodyTransformers and Lego lol. Oh and also cause I'm running low on moneys and I promised Shin =X. We'll see what happens in the future haha.

Speaking of Star Wars though.... I want to play the new MMORPG when it comes out!

As always thanks for reading!

New Toy - Transformers Barricade (2007)

Hey guys,

I recently fell into a temporary state of childhood trance and in that effect, bought myself some toys =S One of which is this little action figure. I always wanted a Barricade figure but they all have fugly faces on the boxart on the back of the packaging and by the time I've come around to want one badly enough, 4 years had passed. lol.

This is the Premium Deluxe Barricade from back in 2007. I can say it's a pretty nice toy XD the details are pretty good too!
The little details are what make it look nice like the emergency number and the slogan.
As a car I think it is pretty sweeeeeet haha.
The car's a 2005 Saleen Mustang if you're interested lol.
What's a Transformer that can't transform right? He looks pretty bad in robot form. Good-bad.
Buuuuuuut he has a little hand problem. Or lack-there-of, which is the bad thing :S
His arm is the whole side of the car.
His extendo arm gimmick... UGH. When I saw it in picture and video reviews, I thought "Why they hating this? It looks pretty good" until I experienced it first hand. Moving the hand up and down can even trigger it to pop out. annoying indeed. But I still think it's an OK gimmick considering the arms have not much movement and posability.
As for posability, my Bumblebee can do great poses and now he has a new playmate haha.
Oh and from his chest pops out a not-to-scale Frenzy. He says hi.
I won this figure on eBay for quite cheap considering the price it's going for here (because it's not produced anymore and they wanna squeeze all the money out of people).
And literally seconds before the end of the auction someone tried to bid snipe me!
To my satisfaction, I called the top bid first and gave him/her a big middle finger.

Overall, I'm pleased with it and finally have a companion for Bumblebee. Haa but I am considering getting the new Barricade from the Dark of the Moon movie line coming out soon.

Thanks for reading guys!

Recent stuff from Nottingham

Hey guys,

Just a random update from when I was in Nottingham last week. Yesterday I had a bad case of nausea ending with a massive vomit in the evening. No I'm not pregnant, for god's sake.

Anyways nothing much of interest to you guys happened in Notts other than some foodstuff haha.
We went to this coffee shop in Beeston where they did student discounts and also Shin's hall advertises it I think.
Their caramel latte is pretty good! Personally I think it's on par with Starbuck's caramel macchiato.
Their carrot cake thingie (forgot what's it called passion cake? or something) was not bad too. Icing made it very sweet though.
Shin and I made the Singaporean style prawn noodles. Just got egg noodles, kang kong, king prawns and shredded boiled chicken breast.
Added soup and shallots at the end. The soup is simple, we used the pre-made paste-stuff LOL. Just add it to water and bring to boil.

The noodles were pretty good. The soup tastes like the stuff you get at shops if not better. Worth a try if you want something fast and simple. The chicken is not a must but I find it tastes great with it haha.

There you go, something short of an update. Will post more soon!

Valentine's 2011

Hey all!

Sorry I wasn't updating much the past week as I was in Nottingham (again). I got some food pics but the update now will be on Valentine's. I hope you guys had a good one spent with a significant other, if not, bachelor's parties are just as good.

Shin and I were trying to decide whether to eat out or cook at home, but we went with the latter and we made....
Lamb steaks! Awesomeness. With mint gravy it was heavenly.
We went for the candlelit dinner and everything haha.
Mussels in butter! It was kinda salty.
Shin's plate, complete with cute sheep-ish cutlery haha
 My plate, more.. uh... manly!
Mixed veg, just boiled and mixed with a bit of butter.
Shin's mash potato made with potato (duh), dill, parmesan cheese, butter and milk. It was great! She said we made too much though. I proved her wrong Ha!
Complete with Champagne. It was cheap stuff and tasted like white wine, which I don't like to begin with. Oh well, at least there was a toast and stuff haha.
The rose I gave Shin, she seemed to like it so mission success haha ;P

That's what I did on Monday the 14th of February.

Do tell me how you guys spent your Valentine's, anything special or not :3

Take care guys!
